You can enjoy a tranquil walk through the forest along shaded, winding pathways, crossing wooden bridges and passing by babbling streams. The cool, refreshing air makes it a popular retreat from the summer heat.
Our buses always make a stop at the main road of the area and your Guide will show you the stone–paved path to reach Seven Springs, as well as the seven springs tunnel entrance, which is only 10 minutes away on foot. Your guide will also inform you on the exact time of departure. You can explore 7 springs at your own pace, as you will have 1 hour and15 minutes of free time to discover the area.
The lake along with the waterfall is a very popular spot for visitors providing a unique experience; the guided tour to those spots is marvelous as it involves walking through the forest.
If you feel adventurous enough, you can walk through a 186 meters long, very narrow, dark tunnel to get to the lake. The tunnel was constructed back in 1931 to lead the water of the seven springs and the river Loutanis to the lake. Walking through the dark tunnel with your feet in the fresh running water is an exciting experience but you should avoid it, if you are claustrophobic. The alternative route is equally satisfying; you can simply follow the walking path to the lake with your Guide.
The area also offers amenities such a coffee shop where visitors can enjoy a refreshing drink while appreciating the nature beauty. The forest is suitable for those who like walking around and it is common to sea peacocks roaming freely in this area, adding a touch of charm to the ambiance.
Are you worried about not having a place to catch your breath and your bottle of water running out? You needn’t! After we depart from Seven Springs, we will continue with a 30-minute drive to Lindos. The drop off & pick up point in Lindos is at its main square (Krana square). The guided walking tour will reach the center of the village and your guide will inform you on the exact departure time.
Walking around the village for 20 minutes will be the way to learn and experience firsthand the history of this magnificent place, with the interesting info provided by your Guide. After touring the center, you have the option to follow your Guide all the way up to the Acropolis and take the most spectacular photos or to spend your time swimming/ having lunch.
Lindos is one of the most popular locations in Greece!
At first sight, you will admire its natural landscape, enhanced by the picturesque architecture of the town built in more recent times. The white houses of Lindos impress with their traditional architecture and decoration. The view is astonishing!
Over the calm waters of a wide rocky bay, the white flat-roofed houses rise from a slope overlooking a golden, shallow, sandy beach that is forming a light belt around the north side of the hill where the Acropolis of Lindos is enthroned.
If you have a closer look you can see a very dainty little temple once dedicated to the goddess Athena Lindia, behind the area’s walls.
During your 3.5 hour stay you will come to realize that you will remember this day for the rest of your life; the authentic atmosphere, the friendly inhabitants and the lovely beaches. You can explore the village, strolling through the small narrow streets dotted with quaint boutiques, white-washed houses, wonderful souvenir shops and small bars and restaurants with terraces and a beautiful perspective on the Aegean Sea.
A very popular way to discover all the alleyways of the village of Lindos or go up to the Acropolis is by a donkey ride. If you would like to swim the ideal place for you might be St. Paul’s Bay, just down the main village road. Alternatively you can visit the main sandy beach of Lindos that is organized and offers sunbeds and restaurants within walking distance from the village.
If you prefer ancient sites, visiting the Acropolis with your Guide is a must! Explore the well–preserved temple ruins, the ancient theater and the remains of the castle. The view from the top is breathtaking!
For history enthusiasts, we highly recommend a visit to the Lindos Museum. It showcases artifacts and exhibits that provide insights into the ancient and medieval history of the village and the surrounded area. Don’t miss out on seeing the Church of Panagia, a significant religious monument, located in the heart of the village. It is a small but intricate chapel that features a typically Rhodian campanile tower and an impressive pebble mosaic floor. (The Entrance fee for visiting the Acropolis is 12,00 euros).
Picturesque alleys, a breathtaking view, traditional aromas and the cosmopolitan atmosphere will ensure an unforgettable day!
On our way back we will make a short stop (5 minutes) at the Amphitheatre Hill so you can have the opportunity to take amazing photos of Lindos from above, the perfect way to end your tour.
