Join us on a unique Cruise around Rhodes! We will be departing from Mandraki Port to visit Anthony Quinn Bay in “Ladiko”, a small bay surrounded by formidable rocks. This is the shooting location for the 1961 film “Guns of Navarone” with Anthony Quinn.
The beach was named after him as he purchased the place. Its original name was Vagies bay. You will be able to dive off the boat into the refreshing clear waters of the bay for 30 minutes!
The bay has a width of 10 meters and a length of 250 meters packed with rocks, pebbles and fine sand both inside the sea and out on the beach.
The dark emerald of the pine trees, that touch the shore’s edge, paint the surroundings in unexpected hues.
The beach is perfect for people who love to swim in secluded lagoons, dive, snorkel or just gaze at the rocks.
Continuing along the east coast, our next stop will be “Tsambika beach”, where you will have the opportunity to relax and swim for 2 hours. Tsambika beach is such a beautiful, unspoiled beach with golden sand in the Island’s East coast. Above the white, bright, fine sand, rises the steep 240m high rock, on which a white chapel is enthroned.
Feeling refreshed but hungry after a long swimming session under the summer sun? We have you covered! We will have prepared a delicious buffet–lunch with various Greek delicacies for you to enjoy.
After lunch, we will be on our way to return, but not before a 30 minute stop at “Afandou Caves” to dive into the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea one more time.
Superb caves rise all the way around the beach, giving the whole place a magical atmosphere. The blue crystal water combined with the pebbles on the beach make the “Afandou Caves” a beloved choice for travellers and locals.
Continuing to the north, we will stop at “Kallithea Spa” for some photos (20 minutes), before finally returning to the port. Kallithea’s beach is one of the most popular among the locals. It is composed of many small creeks covered with pine-trees; that’s why is one of the Island’s attractions. It is an ideal place for diving and snorkeling as there is abundant marine life full of an amazing variety of fish and crystal clear waters.
An ideal family day cruise!!
