  • Beautiful craggy mountain with a long history, dating back to ancient times

In the Centre of Tinos below the hill of Exomvourgo we created the longest Via ferrata of the Cyclades. An easy hike with a bit of scrambling at a length of a 1000meters encircles the hill. Steep slopes, gullies and narrow passages offer a unique hiking experience, and the all-around view from above during the trek is magnificent.

The route starts at the old Jesuit Monastery of the Holy heart. Wearing the right gear, we are heading towards the chapel of St. Minas. The hike continues encircling the former Venetian castle with views towards the medieval walls and fortifications. We continue by passing the Exomvourgo Sport climbing area heading towards the North Side of the Hill where the views towards the Villages of the main part of the Island is spectacular. Finally with a short Tour of the inner walls of the Castle we return to the start of the route.
