An interesting circular route, visiting three Catholic inland villages. Starting at Loutra village, we have the opportunity to visit the Ursulines Monastery, which used to host a girls’ boarding school, renowned across Europe. It now functions as a museum that houses an interesting folk life exhibition and can be visited only during the summer months.
We ascend at the village Koumaros, one of the most picturesque villages in the area, and then we reach Exomvourgo hill which is the 3rd highest mountain of Tinos. There we will visit the ruins of the Venetian castle and we will admire the view from the top of the mountain. Then the route becomes downhill visiting village "Xynara" which was the siege of the Catholic Archdiocese at the Venetian times.
Our route ends back to Loutra. There we can relax in the special cafe of the village where the earnings are distributed for social purposes.
